The present review describes the morphological, phytochemical and pharmacology aspects of Eurycoma longifolia (Simaroubaceae). Eurycoma longifolia popularly known as tongkat ali or pasak bumi is a traditional herb used widely in countries like China, India and Malaysia as a libido enhancer.
